The last week I have been very busy getting everything sorted for the trip back home. The boat came with a lot of additional sails and stuff which are not needed for the trip back. I had a big list of things to do or get before we could set sail so I drove my pick-up truck there to get it all sorted out.
I brought immersion suits from Holland which I bought of a fisherman that was closing down his business. And I got new life vests and 6 person life raft. And I checked all other safety equipment. So it was very handy to have the truck there as its better than walking and carrying all that stuff around.
Using the truck to get provisions like water bottles, drinks, food saved my a heap of work too as the supermarket was close by but not close enough to push the shopping cart all the way to the marina.
I have bought new duvet & pillows for the crew to sleep comfortably.
I have reprogrammed the AIS transponder and VHF radio with the correct registration. Got new digital charts and updated the existing ones and got the paper charts too. With my new label maker I have replaced all the Danish labels to English as I want everybody to understand what they are operating.
Crew is arriving this Tuesday so I’m all set. Lets get BAIA home.
